Two are better than one. The secret lies in connection. And that’s what the Bordeaux winemakers know only too well. They perform their magic with varieties which ripen to perfection here in the winemaking heart of France.
In 2012 in Château Tour Grand Faurie the full, soft and juicy Merlot was blended with the lightly spiced Cabernet Franc. That’s exactly the style you’d expect from Bordeaux. It’s balanced and structured. It has a potential to age further and become softer.
The charming scent is of ripe red fruits. Can you feel the depth and character? And then there’s the taste. Already, the first sip is firm and pleasant. Medium body, soft acidity. In short, the French for elegant earthy wine.
This wine has rested in a bottle since 2012 and still has a potential to age further. Open it now or keep it in your home archives for a few more years.
The remaining dilemma is whether to enjoy it with a juicy steak or a cheese platter… Either – or, it would be a shame to keep it for yourself. You know what they say: two are better than one.
