“Aaaah!” You blissfully close your eyes and enjoy the moment. A light, balanced taste spreads across your tongue. You don’t want to forget the scent of currents and black and red fruits.
This is the experience of the archival red Médoc 2008 wine. It was created in a sunny year that gave it lightness and fullness. Its balanced taste comes from two varieties: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemakers at Château Saint-Hilaire harvested both types by hand, let them macerate for 3 weeks, and then allowed them to mature for 12 months in oak barrels.
This gave rise to a dry red wine that perfectly captures Bordeaux and the Médoc region. Its full but light taste earned it a silver medal at the largest French wine competition, the Challenge International du Vin.
Will you treat yourself to a bottle? It tastes great now and still will, even many years later.
