Perhaps for its color. It’s dark ruby and it will grab your attention the second you pour it in your glass. Then there’s the scent…. Ripe cherries, forest fruits and mild wood. Velvety, elegant and soft on the tongue from the very first sip. All this thanks to the patience and the traditional methods of the Feytit family.
The hills over the Dordogne river. The ideal soil. Decades of patience. Vineyards over 45 years old and roots that dig deep into the clay-limestone soil saturated with iron sands. Add years and years of patience, 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
Then, in the cellars, each and every grape was treated with respect. Hand picked, carefully selected, no rush. Followed by eighteen months spent in oak barrels half of which are made of new wood. It rests, it breathes, it matures. And the result? A wine with character. It deserves good company. Will it be you?
Open it and enjoy it now or let it rest and mature some more in your home archives.
