Imagine the smell of black currants and ripe blackberries with a soft touch of dark chocolate. That’s the core of this Italian red wine. The undertones are mineral with elegant spices. One word to describe this Barolo of the Nebbiolo variety? Noble.
All wine makers from the famous Barolo village know well that good wine needs time and rest. And they’ve given their wine just that. They harvested the ripest grapes by hand. The maceration process took 35 – 40 days. And then they let their wine rest properly in oak barrels followed by months in bottles.
The result is a fabulous wine with a great archiving potential. Already it’s showing what it’s made of. But despite that it’s still a baby. After a few years of rest in your home archives it will reward you with even more depth, elegance and softness.
Before you pour yourself a glass make sure that its temperature is 60 – 64 °F, then it becomes the perfect companion at your grilled meat party.
