Intense.

This is the 6-puttonyos Tokaji wine from 2006. In order to create it, the winemakers at Tokaj & CO had to hand-pick a sufficient amount of botrytized grapes – grapes affected by a noble fungus that caused them to shrink and concentrate the taste and flavor inside their skins. The 6-puttonyos Tokaji select matured for at least 8 years in barrels in a cellar carved into a volcanic rock. This is what gives it such an intense taste and aroma.

Look forward to seeing its royal amber color. Its strong, distinctive aroma foretells a sweet taste with tones of caramel, figs, and candied fruit. With years of maturation these flavors have blended and developed together. Therefore, an archival Tokaji is very smooth and at the same time intensely fruity.

According to the winemakers at Tokaj & CO, a good Tokaji belongs in the “starter pack” of every wine lover. In our opinion, it’s precisely this 6-puttonyos Tokaji from 2006 that belongs there.

Made slowly, harmonized for years, and unbelievably intense.
