The Chardonnay made from selected botrytis grapes is a rare and original wine. Chardonnay 2007 is produced from the ripest grapes that can be grown. At harvest time, the vines have dried fruits that are already turning into raisins, and these in turn then yield stunningly sweet wines.
You will taste tones of pineapple, mango, melon, and candied citrus fruits in this Chardonnay, and you can look forward to its long honey-raisin finish. The wine’s flavors also continue developing and changing during the maturation process, so unique tertiary tones will develop later.
The character of this wine stands out best in combination with desserts, such as stewed pineapple with grated white chocolate. It will also wonderfully complement blue cheeses like Stilton.
