The aroma develops even more after a while. Suddenly it’s full, calm, focused. There’s soft oak and the hint of spice somewhere in the back along with dry wood. Noble.
And when the time to sample it comes, the taste is full, refined and exact with elegant and smooth structure. The Merlot plays the lead here with 90% supported by Cabernet Franc (10%) lending the wine its soft length. The aftertaste is long and calm. You’re likely to remember this for a long time.
Great cards were dealt here from the start. Hand picked from vineyards older than 45 years, clay-limestone soil with traces of iron and 18 months in French oak barrels, half of which are new. In short, depth, structure and elegance.
It’s gorgeous now already. And if you let it rest for a few more years in your home archives you shall be well rewarded. It will become rounder, calmer. More and more each year. Be patient and it will reveal the perfect taste layer by layer.
