The aroma is of tropical fruits. There’s the typical soft acidity in the taste. The wine is light, fresh and so beautifully drinkable. The amount of alcohol is only 11,5 %.
There’s a little bit of sweetness to make things round, a little bit of acidity to keep things light and together it’s exactly the right equation to ensure that you enjoy the first sip and every sip after that too. It’s all about the right balance.
But there’s one more thing that makes this wine exceptional. The barrels. The traditional Mosel Fuder barrels. Large. Wooden. But rest assured – there’s no woody taste. Just the perfect conditions for long maturation.
Behind all this stands a winery that earns external acclaim for its quality. Markus Fries is a member of Der Ring (an association of top Mosel wineries).
