Smell it. Can you detect dried plums, sweet berries, and violets? This is the scent of the Italian red Barolo wine made from Nebbiolo grapes. It will surprise you with its royal ruby color and brick-toned glow and its full, rich taste.
The famous winemaking village of Barolo is hidden among the hills of northern Italy. Here, winemakers harvest their full-flavored grapes by hand and take their time with the production of wine. The maceration of this wine lasts 20 days, and then it matures for 24 months in oak barrels, 6 months in tanks, and 10 months in its bottles.
Archiving and aging benefit it, and with each year its full taste further develops and the fruity tones deepen.
This dry red Barolo is best served at a temperature between 16 and 18 °C and you will enjoy it with roasted or grilled meat.
