All the wines from the Michel Fonné winery come from vineyards that offer generous amounts of sunshine. However, the grapes used for this particular white wine from the Grand Cru series grew in a specially selected vineyard. The soil underneath it stands out with its elements of marble, limestone, and granite.
This is also why the archival Gewürztraminer from the Grand Cru series has such a concentrated flavor with balanced acidity. And great archiving potential as well.
