We’re really proud of this tasting set. We discovered a winery in the Spanish Burgos province where they create charismatic archival wines. We’ve brought them together into a set that will let every red lover experience something new.

The Spanish Buezo winery: tradition and science go hand in hand

Buezo isn’t a winery with a 100-year history. It was established in the year 2000 using something close to the scientific method – from the experiences of an architect, an engineer, and a master winemaker. A stellar combination. This was proven in the international competitions that awarded Buezo’s wines with gold medals.

Winemakers here harvest their grapes by hand and process them under strictly monitored conditions. The wines’ aging in oak barrels is reflected in their taste and aroma. And so is their archiving – very long archiving.

The 2005 vintage 2005 is the first one the Buezo winemakers released for sale. It’s mature, charismatic, and full of flavor.

2005 Nattan Reserva Buezo – dry red wine

The archival red Nattan 2005 was created from the traditional Tempranillo variety. But this wine presents it to you in an entirely new way.

This is a wine with personality; it’s mysterious and charismatic. Despite how mature it is, it kept its light fruity aroma. In the taste, you’ll notice dried fruit, and dark fruits that are ripe for the picking. Also, tones of oak and spice.

This wine is complex, balanced … and it’s very easy to fall for it.

2005 Tempranillo Reserva Buezo

The 2005 archival red Tempranillo is in peak condition. The ruby wine floods your nose with the scent of red fruit, which is typical for this variety. The taste of dried fruit and earthy tones with spice and tannins with personality spread through your mouth. But thanks to its pronounced acidity the wine still tastes fresh.

The Tempranillo 2005 from the Buezo winery is one of those wines that when you drink it, you let it roll across your tongue … and then you can’t wait for the next sip.

2005 Varietales Reserva Buezo

The winemakers from the Spanish Buezo winery found a perfect ratio of Tempranillo (50 %), Merlot (25 %) and Cabernet Sauvignon (25 %). Together, they make a smooth and opulent wine.

In its aroma you’ll notice red fruit, honey, and tones of oak and tobacco. Its taste will surprise you with its fresh acidity and complex structure. It remains on your tongue for a long time and reveals tones of flowers and chocolate.
